The Grand Retreat

This waterfront outdoor renovation in Naples, Florida transformed a dated exterior into a refined, modern resort-style outdoor living space designed for entertaining, relaxation, and uninterrupted water views.

The design focused on simplifying the architecture, improving circulation, and strengthening the connection between the home, pool terrace, dock, and Intracoastal setting. Existing elements including the original pool, boulder features, concrete paver deck, screen enclosure, outdated landscape, and select trees were removed to create a cleaner, more open site.

Because the rear yard had a noticeable slope, new retaining walls, steps, and walkways were integrated to create a more functional and visually balanced outdoor environment. The front of the residence was also redesigned with a modern circular driveway, updated landscape beds, new exterior lighting, and a fresh off-white exterior with taupe trim.

At the rear, a new rectilinear pool and perimeter-overflow spa were centered on the lanai to frame the waterfront view. Sandblasted Diana Royale marble pavers were selected for their soft tone, durability, and slip-resistant finish.

A custom pergola anchors the outdoor living area with a media wall, recessed television niche, linear fireplace, and integrated shelving. Nearby, a built-in seating wall and linear fire feature create a sophisticated gathering space for relaxed waterfront living.

The result is a cohesive Naples outdoor living renovation that blends modern architecture, pool design, landscape design, and resort-style comfort.
