Common questions.
Do you design pools, build them, or both?
Both. The pool is designed by the principal landscape architect and built by our crew. There is no handoff to a separate pool company. The detail the architect drew is the detail that gets installed.
How long does a custom pool project take?
From first site walk to swim, typically six to twelve months. Permitting and engineering take longer in Naples than most people expect. Construction itself usually runs two to six months depending on the size and scope once breaking ground.
What does a custom Knaak pool cost?
Bespoke to the project. A simple rebuild may run a fraction of a new-construction estate pool. The honest answer comes after a site walk. Inquire and we will tell you whether the project fits the studio.
Do you renovate existing pools as well as build new ones?
Yes. We re-tile, re-deck, re-equip, and re-light older Naples pools. A thoughtful rebuild can bring an aging pool up to modern standards without rebuilding the property.
How does Knaak differ from a pool builder like Lucas Lagoons?
Lucas Lagoons builds elaborate naturalistic water features and pools — they are excellent at their lane. Knaak is a Registered Landscape Architecture practice that designs pools as part of the broader landscape composition, then builds them ourselves.
